Employed To Serve Drop the Title Track from Their Forthcoming Album ‘Fallen Star’

0

British metalcore band Employed to Serve released the second single and title track from their forthcoming album Fallen Star earlier today. And just like their previous single “Atonement,” which featured Lorna Shore’s Will Ramos, it manages a balance of chuggy, pissed off riffage and catchy, melodic moments of clarity.

With a little under two months left before their new album’s release, frontwoman Justine Jones explained that “Fallen Star” the track is about something that far too many of us experience in life.

“‘Fallen Star’ is about enduring the burn-out of someone close to us. It can be devastating to look on helplessly as someone you care for continues to fly too close to the sun and not learn from it. Sometimes, you need to just distance yourself and love them from afar. We felt it should be the title track as it thematically centers around the lyrics of the new record. Breaking bad habits and overcoming the challenges life throws our way.”

Fallen Star will be released on April 25 via Spinefarm, but you can preorder your copy today. You can also catch them on tour in the U.K. with Celestial Sanctuary and Burner this April (dates below), along with a number of summer festivals across Europe this summer.
