Check the Camera Angles: David Ellefson is Launching a Podcast Show
…..Do we remember the last time ex-Megadeth bassist David Ellefson was featured in a self-shot video? I do. It wasn’t a good look that had major repercussions for his career on one of the most influential thrash metal bands of all time.
Well, now just a few years removed from that incident, Effefson’s once again getting in front of a camera for the launch for his bi-weekly podcast, “The David Ellefson Show.” With a debut date of March 3, the show will be featured on YouTube and other streaming platforms.
“I’ve been a guest on countless podcasts over the years, and they’ve become essential in connecting artists with audiences, replacing much of traditional media. I’m excited to build a community where we can dive into discussions about music, entertainment, lifestyle, and everything in between.”
The show’s also being used as a sort of platform for the David Ellefson Bass Coalition, which is a group for bassists and bass enthusiasts around the world to connect and share insights on various musicians, types of gear, and other topics.
Along with co-host Joshua Toomey, of Talk Toomey fame, the show will feature “captivating conversations, insightful stories, and entertaining anecdotes from Ellefson’s remarkable 40-plus-year career.” Not only that, but it will also have a range of guests, with the first being Anthrax bassist Frank Bello. That episode is currently available to all Patreon subscribers.
“David has always been a must-listen guest on podcasts, so it’s only natural that he’s now hosting his own. He’s a wealth of knowledge — not just about his own career, but the music industry as a whole. I’m excited to share these episodes with rock and metal fans around the world.”
