WWE 2K25 Soundtrack Features a Surprising Amount of Modern Metal
Heavy metal and professional wrestling have long had a deep connection with one another. Wrestlers use metal as their entrance music, some musicians have gotten in the ring to compete, and sometimes bands will take the stage to play a superstar into a super important match. Hell, WWE is using Poppy to promote their upcoming Elimination Chamber premium live event.
So it really shouldn’t be too surprising that the soundtrack for their upcoming game WWE 2K25 has some bangers from some of today’s bigger metal acts. Yet the game’s publisher 2K released the full soundtrack and I gotta say — seeing the likes of Gojira, Spiritbox, and Knocked Loose making the cut is pretty cool for the current scene.
Though a lot of the soundtrack is dominated by the likes of Jelly Roll, Eminem, and $uicideboy$, the metal contingent is as follows:
- “Only Pain” by Gojira
- “Suffocate” by Knocked Loose featuring Poppy
- “Hurt You” by Spiritbox
- “Curse” by Architects
- “Ratatata” by Babymetal featuring Electric Callboy
- “It’s Supposed To Hurt” by House Of Protection.
Let’s also not forget that the game will have to include some Motionless In White, Code Orange, and some guitar work by Kerry King, since both of those are actively used for Rhea Ripley, The Wyatt Sicks, and Damian Priest’s entrance music, respectively.
If you want to drop an elbow on your friends while jamming to some Gojira, you can do so by picking up WWE 2K25 when it comes out on March 14 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC.
