Premiere: Cartilage Cranks Out a Claret-Filled Cacophony with “Globs of Glimmering Gore”

If you’re one of those folks that looked at the calendar this morning and thought “nice, it’s another ‘Thirsty Thursday’,” then boy do I have something that’s sure to quench that (blood) thirst way ahead of schedule. If you like blood-drenched grindcore/death metal and need something new to whet your palate, then stop what you’re doing and hit play on the video below because Cartilage is here to douse you with their new track “Globs of Glimmering Gore.”

As you might expect from the track’s title, this one’s a crushing four minutes of Bay Area brutality. Thanks to the merciless blast beats and thumping rhythms from bassist Kienan Hamilton and drummer Adam Houman, the band showcases a low end that rattles your rib cage. Couple that with the wall of sound created by guitarists Mike Flory and Teresa Wallace and the vocal daggers that cut through it all from frontman Mark Wallace and you’ve got one hell of a caustic concoction.

Seriously, this track hits like an speeding car hits a brick wall — violently and with full force. As for the accompanying music video that you can check out below, Cartilage use their apparent love of alliteration to describe it as such:

“This video contains glorification of gelatinous, gangrenous, gargling, ghastly, gut garroting grossness that is ‘Globs Of Glimmering Gore!’”
