70000Tons of Metal Cruise Announces 2026 Tour Dates and Destination

Cruise ships are kind of like Jurassic Park: we’ve seen how they can go terribly wrong, and yet we keep trying them again and again. But hey, if a heavy metal cruise on the high seas sounds like a fun idea to you, don’t let me stop you. Just try not to Google “Diamond Princess” before you go.

The 70000Tons of Metal cruise just wrapped up its 2025 voyage yesterday, having featured artists like Dirkschneider, Candlemass, Hammerfall, Sepultura, and more, sailing from Miami, Florida to Ocho Rios, Jamaica on a ship called Independence of the Seas. The website celebrated the return by announcing on their website:

“Thank You To Survivors From 81 Nations Onboard Of 70000TONS OF METAL 2025”

The choice of the word “survivor” might have been meant as a joke, but maybe not a joke in the best of taste considering that surviving a cruise is no guarantee. Just think back to the Headbanger’s Boat cruise of 2023. But, with the 2025 cruise wrapped, they turned right around and announced the dates and destination for the next cruise to take place in 2026.

The 2026 70000Tons of Metal cruise will take place from January 29 – February 2, 2026 and sail from Miami, Florida again, but this time it will be headed to Labadee, Haiti, a destination the cruise last sailed to in 2019. Special onboard events will include the artist meet and greets, the 70000Tons of Karaoke event, the Jamming in International Waters event where band members perform classic metal covers, their infamous belly flop contest (ouch), and the artist clinics. There’s a whole bunch of other specials and add-ns, like the spa, because what’s more metal than a good facial?

The artist lineup will be announced at a later date, so keep an eye peeled if you wish to become the next “survivor” of the 70000Tons of Metal cruise.
