Lars Ulrich Reflects on Marianne Faithfull After Her Passing at 78 Years Old

0

Yesterday the entertainment industry was shocked to learn that iconic singer and actress Marianne Faithfull had passed away at 78 years old. It was revealed by her spokesperson that she’d “passed away peacefully.”

And while her impact on the music world was as a singer-songwriter in her own right, she’s got a slight connection with the metal world as well, having contributed vocals to Metallica’s 1997 ReLoad track “The Memory Remains.” And as such, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich took to social media to remember working with Faithfull all those years ago.

“Thank you, Marianne…

“For the good times
For your kindness
For the great stories
For your fearlessness

“…And the biggest Thank You and Fuck Yeah for your incredible and unique contribution to our music, and for always being so willing to join us in performing it… and partake in the ensuing shenanigans! Rest in Peace.”

We at MetalSucks want to offer our condolences to Marianne Faithfull’s loved ones in the wake of her passing.
