Go Down (and Up) with Electric Callboy’s Latest Track “Elevator Operator”
German electronicore outfit Electric Callboy is back with a new track and this time it’s about going down (and up). Titled “Elevator Operator”, the song and accompanying music video continues the band’s supposed mantra of just committing to pure fun.
According to their tour manager Ian Roberts (aka YouTuber TankTheTech), this is apparently the first single of the band’s forthcoming — albeit unannounced and unnamed — album. When will we know more about that? Not a clue. You should check out TankTheTech’s reaction to the video, because he knows the backstory for the song and everything.
Honestly, the video is hilarious. I can’t imagine how hard it must have been to do the video while keeping a straight face, because the premise is just so silly. I mean, the song’s all about those guys whose entire job is just to hit the appropriate floor button when you take the elevator.
It helps that the song’s pretty catchy and has a good breakdown in it too. I know most metalheads are going to say this is stupid and not metal, but fuck that. We can have some fun with our music every once in a while too.
