Exodus Announces Two California Shows for 40th Anniversary of Bonded by Blood

0

California thrash legends Exodus are getting ready to celebrate, not just the 40th anniversary of their debut album, Bonded by Blood, but also what would have been the 65th birthday of their original vocalist, Paul Baloff, had he not died of a stroke in 2002. It just so happens that the two milestones both fall in the same month of April.

The band announced a pair of shows in California around the date of Baloff’s birthdate, April 25, to celebrate the album’s anniversary. The band plans to play the album in its entirety, and only play Baloff-era songs during the sets. With fellow California thrash icons Death Angel coming along as special guests for both shows, it promises to be a hell of a celebration.

The band posted the announcement of the shows on Instagram yesterday, saying:

“We could not be more excited for this show announcement! The 40th anniversary of our debut only happens once, and to fall on Paul Baloff’s birthday, on a Friday, we KNEW we had to crush the Bay Area. Bonded By Blood. Played in its entirety. Only Baloff era songs. Once in a lifetime moment for us. So killer that we added a second show in Southern California to show our appreciation to both regions. Joining us our some dear friends, especially [Death Angel]. Don’t miss this. Posers must die!”

Pre-sale started today at 10 a.m. local time with the password “BONDED” and general on-sale starts at 10 a.m. local time tomorrow. Here’s the details for the two announced shows:

04/25 Berkeley, CA – UC Theatre (feat. Blind Illusion & Nukem)
04/26 Anaheim, CA – House Of Blues (feat. Hirax & Nukem)
