Baroness to Play All of Red Album and Blue Record at Prepare The Ground 2025

0

There may be plans to turn our friends up north into the 51st state, but it might just be worth it to make sure your passport is in order in the meantime, as this year’s Prepare The Ground announced that its full lineup now includes the mighty Baroness playing some classic tunes.

Earlier today, the folks behind the annual three-day arts and music festival revealed that Baroness would be playing the entirety of 2007’s Red Album and 2009’s Blue Record during their set. And while that’s not entirely a new experience, it’s still a super exciting prospect. Having caught Baroness live in the past, they’re not a band you want to miss out on.

In addition to the Baroness announcement, the festival also revealed that there would be a reunion/final show for Burning Love, along with silent movie scores by Pygmy Lush & Planning for Burial. That’s all on top of the previously announced bands on the lineup like YOB, Khanate, Kylesa, and more.

For those that don’t know, Prepare The Ground is a three-day festival that takes over two blocks of downtown Toronto, complete with an outdoor arts market, and a whole lot of side programming. Music performances, meanwhile, can be performed at one of four venues: Trinity St. Paul’s Church, Lee’s Palace, the Cave, 918 Bathurst.
