I See Stars Cancel Tour Dates: “We Are Physically and Mentally Unable to Perform Right Now”

Touring can be really rigorous and hard to keep up with. I don’t really blame any band for needing to take time off from touring for the sake of their mental health. And I think I can really understand why electronicore band I See Stars have had to cancel a bunch of shows due to physical and mental health concerns.

In a post on Instagram, the band explained the reason for the cancellation, prefacing it with the statement:

“THIS WAS IN NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM AN EASY DECISION. NEW DATES COMING SOON. WE LOVE YOU”

That was then followed by the statement:

“OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS, WE’VE DONE EVERYTHING WE CAN TO PREPARE FOR THIS TOUR, BUT IT’S BECOME CLEAR THAT WE ARE PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY UNABLE TO PERFORM RIGHT NOW. SINCE JULY, WE’VE BEEN TOURING NONSTOP ACROSS THE WORLD WHICH HAS TAKEN A TOLL ON OUR OVERALL WELL-BEING.

“THIS IS NOT A DECISION WE TAKE LIGHTLY – WE’VE NEVER HAD TO DO THIS BEFORE – BUT FOR THE SAKE OF NOT ONLY OUR HEALTH, BUT THE INTEGRITY OF THE SHOW, WE’VE DECIDED TO POSTPONE THESE DATES TO LATER THIS YEAR. WE WANT TO GIVE YOU THE BEST, MOST AUTHENTIC PERFORMANCE POSSIBLE, AND RIGHT NOW, THAT MEANS TAKING THIS TIME TO RECOVER.

“THESE SHOWS ARE NOT CANCELLED – THEY ARE BEING RESCHEDULED, AND ALL PURCHASED TICKETS WILL BE HONORED. NEW DATES WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON. WE APPRECIATE YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT DURING THIS TIME AND TRULY CAN’T WAIT TO COME BACK! WE LOVE YOU

While it’s certainly a bummer for anyone who bought tickets, it really is cool of them to promise to reschedule. So if you had a ticket for one of the upcoming dates, stay tuned to I See Stars’ social media for the rescheduled dates.
