Mouth For War is Going on a Permanent Hiatus
Good things really don’t last forever. It seems like just yesterday that Colorado metalcore band Mouth For War released a new single and yet, they’ve somehow decided to throw in the towel. They’re going on a permanent hiatus, and that’s fuckin lame.
They took to Instagram on January 4, 2025, to make the announcement, and it seems like a certain someone was left out of the message…:
Due to recent events Mouth For War will be going on a permanent hiatus. Thank you for everything.

Be on the lookout for what the 4 of us do next.
Very short and to the point, four of the members expressed at least a small level of excitement for what’s to come for them next, but they noticeably didn’t mention the band’s vocalist Trae Roberts at all. Because I’m a fuckin chismosa who is here for all the mess, I’d venture to say that whatever happened that led to the breakup likely has something to do with Roberts.
Will we ever know? I hope so because I’m nosey as hell, but hopefully, everything will end up okay for everyone in the end. They released “The Earth’s Cold Embrace” back in September of 2024, so that’ll be the last bit of anything we’ll get from the band. Damn.
