Heavy Heavy Low Low Share Tracklist and Cover Art for ‘Pain Olympics’; First Album Since 2008

Let’s think back to 2008. We had hope in so many ways. What else did we have? New music from Heavy Heavy Low Low. Now that we live in a world without hope, it’s kind of the perfect time for the San Jose mathcore band to make their return. Yes, you read that right. They’ve announced a new full-length album called Pain Olympics (and an upcoming lead single from it) and, if you do the math(core), that means it’s their first in 16 years.

Pain Olympics is set to come out sometime in Spring this year. I cannot stand the ambiguity of that, but whatever. It finally follows their 2008 terribly named album Turtle Nipple and the Toxic Shock, but mind you they did release two EPs since then of music they recorded back in 2006 (Hospital Bomber in 2010 and Steak, Tits, Football (I Hate Myself) in 2019). Artwork for the new record was done by Derek Pratt.

Heavy Heavy Low Low shared the news in an Instagram post earlier this week:

Howdy! We know you’ve been waiting for some kind of news on our new album and we didn’t want to end the year without giving you something

We’re proud to present the cover art for PAIN OLYMPICS. The art was done by our extremely talented friend @derekadpratt and we couldn’t be happier with it. We think it encapsulates the vibe of the album perfectly

Not enough? Well shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, here’s the track list:

  1. I’M SO BAD AT GOODBYES
  2. CHIP’S JOURNEY
  3. I GO WHERE I’M KICKED
  4. THIZZME SOFTWARE
  5. SOFT & OBEDIENT
  6. MOUTHFUL OF SOUP
  7. VOMITED SOUL
  8. HOSPITAL BED BLUES
  9. COSTCO HIGH
  10. NECK PILLOW SUITCASE
  11. WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THE WORLD WE LIVE IN
  12. PILE OF DEAD DOGS

Single coming soon! Album coming spring! Cool! Thanks! Be safe and take care of one another.
