Mikey Doling Says New Snot Vocalist is “No One You Know”

0

There’s a lot of mystery surrounding Snot’s new vocalist for their upcoming reunion shows, as the band said they won’t be revealing who he is until basically the moment he steps on stage. Still, Snot has had some fun teasing fans about the new vocalist, and even went as far as to post a screenshot of my article about the vocalist on their Instagram while asking fans to guess who it might be. But all that speculation might be in vain because lead guitarist Mikey Doling recently informed fans that the reveal is going to be somewhat anticlimactic.

In a video posted to Facebook earlier today (that was transcribed by Blabbermouth), Doling explained that the reason they haven’t revealed the identity of their new singer is because he’s not someone you would recognize:

“Hey, what’s happening? Mikey here. I wanted to come on here while I’m driving to Las Vegas. I’m doing a lot of thinking and thinking about how grateful I am to have SNOT back.

“I’m so fucking excited to get out there and start playing again with my brothers, the original lineup of SNOT, with our new singer, of course, who y’all will know who he is after the January 17th show at the Anaheim House Of Blues Parish room.

“I wanted to let y’all know the reason that we haven’t let you know who the singer is, is strictly because social media can be brutal and they would just go right to his — I don’t know; his Facebook, Instagram or whatnot — and start scrutinizing him before he even got on stage with SNOT.

“I’ll tell you this: he’s no one you know, he’s not some big famous rock star or vocalist, because that’s what I’m hearing a lot of people are thinking. They’re thinking that’s the reason we’re keeping it a secret. It’s not. We found a guy who’s extremely talented, extremely cool people, and he just does it right. He’s incredible. I am very confident that y’all will be very happy once you see what he does with SNOT.

“Anyway, January 17th at the House Of Blues, Parish room, Anaheim, and then the next night, January 18th, at San Diego, Brick By Brick. There are still some tickets left for that show, if you wanna come out. We’d love to see you there. Get those tickets before it sells out, ’cause it’s gonna sell out. And then, February 8th, in SNOT’s hometown, Santa Barbara, at SoHo. That show is already sold out.

“So, yeah, looking forward to getting on stage and kicking some ass for y’all. And I wanna thank you so much for your support. And let’s have a kick-ass 2025.”

Okay, but if he’s not someone who people would already know, then why ask people on Instagram to guess who he is, you damn cockteases? But if you want to see Snot with their very non-famous new vocalist, here’s the reunion dates where you can check them out:

Jan. 17 – Anaheim, CA – The Parish at House Of Blues
Jan. 18 – San Diego, CA – Brick By Brick
Feb. 08 – Santa Barbara, CA – SohO
May 15-18 – Daytona Beach, FL – Daytona International Speedway (Welcome To Rockville)
