Lamb of God Plan to Work on New Music Soon
Metalcore icons Lamb of God are now over two years removed from their last album, 2022’s Omens, and it seems like it’s time for something new from them. If you count the two albums Lamb of God put out under the name Burn the Priest (which you should), then the band hasn’t gone more than three years without a new record since their debut album in 1999. Well, it seems like they intend to keep that pattern up with their next release, because bassist John Campbell says they intend to start working on new music.
In a recent interview with And Now the Band podcast (that was transcribed by Blabbermouth), Campbell was asked if there was a plan to release new music, he confirmed that that is exactly what the band plan to do next:
“That’s more or less what it is. We just wrapped up, with the [Headbanger’s] Boat, our tour cycle. And now it’s time to catch our breath and start working on new stuff.”
However, when the interviewer started to get excited about the new music, Cambell tempered his excitement, saying:
“Well, don’t hold your breath, ’cause it’s gonna take a little time.”
Keep in mind, though, that, while Lamb of God currently have no tour dates announced, vocalist Randy Blythe does have a string of dates lined up touring to promote his new memoir Just Beyond The Light: Making Peace With The Wars Inside Our Head. So that will likely limit how much time Blythe can put into working on new material with the band. Still, if you want to catch Blythe on his book tour, here’s the list of dates:
