Turns Out System of a Down Was Teasing a Spring South American Tour
Remember how earlier this morning we were all like “what is System of a Down teasing on social media?” Ah, fun times. Well, as is the nature of breaking news, we were forced to hold an L on this one because the band decided to throw all pretense out of the window and just announce a seven-date run of shows through South America.
Set to kick off on April 24 in Bogota, Colombia and coming to a close on May 10 in São Paulo, Brazil, the tour will see the iconic nu metal band make stops in Peru, Chile, and Argentina. Dubbed the ‘Wake Up!’ leg of their 2025 touring plans, the show announcements come days after their North American run was unveiled.
Tickets for the South American tour will go on sale to the general public this Thursday, December 19 at 12 p.m. local time. Ticket pre-sales, however, start tomorrow, December 17 at 10 a.m. local time. North American tickets up for sale last week, but those went crazy fast.
