Big Surprise: Ingested Played a Show With Josh Davies on Vocals
After Jason Evans recently departed British deathcore favorites Ingested, they didn’t exactly take their time finding a replacement. Just last week, the band deleted every photo on their Instagram and posted a pictures of a hand holding a microphone, hinting at a new vocalist. The Internet quickly matched the tattoos on the hand to Malice frontman Josh Davies, leading everyone to believe that Davies is taking over as vocalist for the band. Well, last Thursday the band played their first show without Evans and, hold onto your hats, the vocalist was Josh Davies.
Video surfaced of last week’s show and, sure enough, that’s Davies on vocals. Still, the band hasn’t technically confirmed that Davies is a permanent replacement and not a temporary fill-in. But all signs seem to point to Davies being their new man. And, with Ingested scheduled to go out on a North American tour in February opening for Aborted alongside fellow opening acts Peeling Flesh and Stabbing, it seems very likely that North American fans will see Davies fronting the band.
