Fever 333 Reveal First Live Date Back Since Their Pause Over Jason Aalon Butler’s Mental Health

0

Roughly seven months after they were forced to cancel their 2024 touring plans due to their frontman Jason Aalon Butler’s need to address some mental health issues, Fever 333 looks like they’re getting back out on the road early next year.

In a social media post that had Butler announce that he’s made major progress in his battle with depression, the band revealed that they’ll be headlining a show at The Echoplex in Los Angeles on January 23. That show’s opening acts will be Slay Squad and Crooked Teeth.

You may remember that the band canceled their 2024 touring plans back in September. At the time, Butler explained the band’s decision to axe all their touring plans by revealing that he’d been struggling with depression. He did so through the following statement:

“Hey everybody, it’s your friend Jason Aalon here. I come to you admittedly a bit uncomfortable and afraid, but grateful for the opportunity to be honest. Recently I’ve been faced with my most significant and challenging struggle with depression. And in a rather unusual turn of events, I became deeply depressed at a time where one would expect to be excitedly anticipating the release of a new album and a tour to support it.

“And while I’m no stranger to these feelings, this time was different. And the mental period of anguish eventually devolved into physical ailments, and that affected not only me, but my family, my friends, and everyone around me, and that caused a pretty obvious turning point. And I realized, you know, I need to, I need to delve into the root cause of my sadness. I probably have needed to do this for, no… I have needed to do this for quite some time. So in light of this, you know, I have to announce that I’ll be canceling the Fever tour. And while my instinct is to apologize, I do want to acknowledge, you know, this decision, and my belief in the decision…”

It had to be difficult to reveal such a deeply personal problem, but it was that announcement and cancellation that apparently led to him feeling well enough to get back out there and play some gigs.

Tickets for the show have gone on presale today, with the general public sale going live tomorrow at 10 a.m. PST.
