Pentagram Prove Old Dogs Can Still Bang Out the Doom Metal Riffage with “Live Again”
After four decades of commitment to the riff, American doom metal pioneers Pentagram are releasing a new album next month titled Lightning In A Bottle. With just a few scant weeks standing between us and that record, the band released its second single “Live Again” along with its accompanying music video.
As you can check out below, the video’s all about their live show, which has founding frontman Bobby Liebling behind the mic as new members guitarist/producer Tony Reed (Mos Generator, Big Scenic Nowhere, etc.), drummer Henry Vasquez (Legions of Doom, Saint Vitus, Blood of the Sun, etc.) and bassist Scooter Haslip (Mos Generator, Saltine) fill out the sound.
Truth be told, it’s a pretty fun track with a bounding rhythm and fat, chuggy riffs. If you dig fuzzy guitars and prime driving tunes, you’ll really enjoy “Live Again.”
Lightning In A Bottle will be released on January 31 via Heavy Psych Sounds, but you can preorder your copy today.
