Helmet Announces North American Tour for the 30th Anniversary of Betty

0

NYC alt-metal crew Helmet were really sorry to disappoint fans when they were forced to cancel their U.S. tour with Local H back in August due to “a mix of significant financial concerns and lower-than-expected ticket sales.” Still, it’s understandable considering how hard it is to make money off of tours these days. Well, if you were bummed to miss out on that tour, you might get another chance, as Helmet have just announced a new North American tour for next year to celebrate the 30th (well, 31st) anniversary of their 1994 album Betty.

Joining Helmet on this tour will be self-described “tundra rock” band Slomosa out of Norway as well as Baltimore-based feminist hardcore act War on Women. The tour will kick off in February in Texas and stretch across the continent, heading west to California then moving slowly eastward to finish up in Washington, DC in late March.

Pre-sale on tickets has already started with general on-sale starting on Friday. They’re also offering VIP packages that includes, amongst other things, soundcheck attendance, a meet and greet and signing session with the band, and a tote full of exclusive merch.
