Sepultura Announce Latin American Leg of Farewell Tour
The long, slow march to the end continues for Brazilian metal titans Sepultura. Having announced back in December that the long-running band was calling it quits, they’ve already finished up the North American and European legs of their farewell tour. So now it’s time to bring it back home as the band just announced the Latin American leg of their farewell tour, concluding with a performance in their home country of Brazil.
This upcoming leg of the tour is a combination of festival dates and solo shows, with the band hitting up three different Lollapalooza festivals in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. I wasn’t even aware there were Lollapaloozas outside of the US, but apparently they are. And they’re officially licensed and not a knock-off so Perry Farrell doesn’t have to punch anybody over it.
Posting on their Instagram, the band wrote:
“We’re thrilled to announce that our ‘Celebrating Life Through Death’ tour is returning to Latin America in 2025!
“In addition to our festival dates in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, and Argentina, we’ve added exclusive shows in Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Paraguay!”
Nothing in the post about these dates explicitly says that this will be the final leg of the final tour, but considering that the whole thing wraps up in Sepultura’s home country, it seems like it’s a fitting send off if this is it.
Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10:00 local time. The full list of Latin American dates is listed below:
