Knocked Loose Announced as Headliner for Outbreak Fest Manchester
Outbreak Fest is happening in 2025 on June 13 in London and then on June 14 and 15 in Manchester. The festival has traditionally been a hardcore punk festival, although it’s gotten a little more eclectic over the past few years, bringing in pop-punk bands, metalcore bands, and even a few rappers. The festival announced its first wave of artists for the Manchester portion of the fest in 2025 and apparently the big hardcore “it” band of the year, Knocked Loose, is going to be one of their headliners.
The other two headliners are, weirdly enough, not hardcore bands, with British shoegaze act Slowdive and American indie rocker Alex G sharing the honor of headlining the festival. Still, the full lineup has a good number of really great hardcore, post-hardcore, and even metal bands. Post-metal band Deafhaven, Australian hardcore band with a flute Speed, Bay Area hardcore band Spy, post-hardcore band Gouge Away, and British hardcore punks Ikhras are amongst some of the other bands lower down on the bill. Interestingly enough, Detroit-based experimental rapper Danny Brown, who opened for Knocked Loose on a string of dates in October and early November this year, is one of the festival’s few rappers announced in the first wave, along with Florida-based rapper Denzel Curry.
This first wave only covers the Manchester dates of the festival, and they promised that an announcement about the London date of the festival is coming tomorrow. Limited discounted presale tickets will go on sale before midnight tomorrow. The full list of bands announced so far is listed below:
