Vocalist Jason Evans Exits Ingested
Bad news for fans of British deathcore and Ingested as frontman Jason Evans has departed the band after 18 years as the vocalist. Evans has been the band’s vocalist for all seven or eight (depending on how you count The Surreption II) albums including the newest one, The Tide of Death and Fractured Dreams that came out in April of this year.
From the outside, at least, it seems like the split is perfectly amicable. In a statement on the band’s Instagram they released the following statement:
“After many years of collaboration, we want to announce that we have parted ways with Jason Evans. This decision was not made lightly, but we all agree it’s the best step for the future of the band and for Jason.
“We are incredibly grateful for the memories shared over the years, and we wish Jason all the best in his future endeavors.
“The band remains committed to creating music and moving forward with new projects that we are excited to share with you soon. Thank you to all our fans for your continued support through this new chapter.

Meanwhile, Evans posted a video on his Instagram (which was transcribed by MetalSucks) in which he said
“Hi everyone. After 18 years, I am no longer the vocalist of Ingested. It feels pretty weird to say that, because it’s been most of my life. But I just want to thank all my family and friends for their unending support, all the friends that I’ve made through touring over the years, but most importantly, all the fans for making all this happen.
“This isn’t the end for me. I’m happy, I’m healthy, I’m surrounded by people I love. I’m excited to find out what the next chapter of my life is going to be. I’m proud of everything that I’ve achieved over the past two decades. That music’s always going to be there.
“If you want to keep on supporting me and you want to keep up to date with whatever shit I do next, you can follow me on my Twitch channel, where I’ll be streaming games chatting with you, or you can subscribe to me on YouTube. Both of those channels are ‘The Slam King.’ You can follow my Warhammer account @goreslammer here on Instagram, if you want to see some of the painting that I do. All those links are in my bio, so click all of them and keep up to date with me. I’m actually going to be on stream tonight on Twitch about 8pm UK time. If you want to come hang out, if you want to come have a chat, please do everyone’s welcome. It’d be nice to see you all there.
“So finally, once again, I just want to say thank you to all the fans that made a council estate kit from Manchester able to follow his dreams. It’s been a crazy ride. I love you all so much. This is just the beginning. Peace and fucking love. “
It’s good to hear that Evans is leaving the band while still in a good place and that he’s so positive about his future. We would like to wish him the best in all his future endeavors, whatever they may be, even if it’s just playing video games on Twitch.
