American Nightmare to Make Only 2025 European Appearance at Revolution Calling Festival
It’s been a very long time since Boston melodic hardcore crew American Nightmare has made an appearance in Europe. According to the tour archive on their website, the band’s last European tour was in 2017. Naturally, the world was a different place then. Trump had just been elected president of the United States, fascism was starting to rear its ugly head, and there was violence in the Middle East. Okay, maybe it wasn’t all that different of a time. But still, seven years is a long time to go without a European tour for pretty much any band. Well, the band is finally making its return to Europe, but it’s not going to be a full tour this time.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of American Nightmare’s first release as a band, their 2000 self-titled EP, American Nightmare announced they will be performing at the Revolution Calling Festival in The Netherlands. Revolution Calling is celebrating the festival’s 5th anniversary, which means that the festival didn’t even exist the last time American Nightmare made a trip to Europe.
The festival announced the first wave of bands in its 2025 lineup yesterday, just the day after wrapping up their 2024 edition of the festival. American Nightmare isn’t actually the only band making their only European appearance at this festival, with Cold As Life and The Beltones also being booked for their only EU dates at Revolution Calling.
