Horse the Band Announce Tour for 20th Anniversary of ‘The Mechanical Hand’
It was just a couple months ago that Horse the Band was teasing plans that they had something big lined up for the 20th anniversary of their sophomore album The Mechanical Hand in 2025, and now it looks like we know what they were talking about. Yesterday, the Nintendocore/metalcore band announced a Lambgoat-sponsored tour for 2025 to celebrate 20 years of the album, with the band planning to play the entire album in full on every date, marking the first shows from Horse since 2019.
In a statement released by Lambgoat, Horse the Band said:
“We first appeared at Bullstock ’99, El Toro High School. Next we played lunchtime at our rival high school, and we fucking sucked. Eventually, after practicing our instruments and scales and studying music theory, someone gave us some money to record an album. We released The Mechanical Hand in 2005, introducing the beloved characters of Lord Gold and Manateen and many other such things. Over time, as individuals we struck out to seek our fortunes in the industries of beer brewing, the custodial arts, high-tech startups, and groceries. Some of us reproduced. Now we are here, with renewed vigor, to celebrate together the 20th anniversary of The Mechanical Hand in 2025. We look great for our age. We are going to play every song. It’s going to be hard.

“On this redemption tour, we will net out our utility value to the universe, after being bad attitude nerds for 20 years.
“Lord Gold and Manateen are waiting for you.”
