The Dillinger Escape Plan to Play a Super Small Show in New Jersey This Friday
If you’re in the New Jersey/Pennsylvania/New York tri-state area, you need to clear your calendar this Friday. Drop whatever bullshit you were supposed to do and instead head to Flemington, New Jersey for a ridiculously intimate concert involving the Garden State’s most dangerous export — The Dillinger Escape Plan.
After spending the last few months celebrating the 25th anniversary of Calculating Infinity, the band are playing a benefit show at a DIY venue to warm up ahead of the Philly anniversary concert that’s happening this Saturday. In fact, if you have a ticket for that Philly show, you automatically have access to this gig as well.
According to a post on the band’s social media page, fans can get into the Flemington show by proving they bought a ticket for the Philly show and bringing two cans of food to donate to the local soup kitchen. Ticket holders will each get a commemorative event poster. Any space left over will be available to the public as long as they kick in a small donation to Flemington DIY.
For those that don’t know (and it’s likely you don’t), Flemington DIY is a non-profit organization that works to provide locals with an inclusive art space that supports “the burgeoning local arts scene, inspires social change, and invigorates the economic development” of the town.
And even if the place is packed and you can’t get in, you can always watch the show through the huge windows at the venue.
Attendees will also get a 10% discount on food and drinks at Ben Weinman’s Alkemy Coffee Company, which will be just a few feet away.
