Napalm Death and Melvins to Team Up for Huge Co-Headlining U.S. Tour

0

There are some pairings you read on paper and go “hot damn, that’s one hell of a duo.” Finding out Napalm Death and Melvins are hitting the road together again for the first time in nine years is absolutely one of those times.

Earlier today, the two bands revealed that they’re going to be co-headlining the second iteration of the ‘Savage Imperial Death March’ tour. Spanning nine weeks (which is three weeks more than their 2016 run together), the tour will see both bands hit 52 different venues all over the U.S. Seriously, this is a massive run.

Speaking of the announcement, Buzz Osbourne said it’s going to be an absolute motherfucker of a tour.

“Napalm Death! Melvins! What a dream! Not only are we looking forward to being on the road with our friends in Napalm Death, but we’re excited to have both Dale and Coady both on drums once again.”

You may recall that Coady Willis filled in for Melvins drummer Dale Crover when he was forced to sit out due to a pretty serious medical emergency. As Osbourne said, both drummers will share the stage during Melvins’ set for the first time in nine years.

Alongside the co-headliners, the tour will also feature the following opening acts: Weedeater (April 4-May 5), Titan To Tachyons featuring Mr. Bungle’s Trevor Dunn (May 7- 20), and The Hard-Ons with Jerry A (May 22-June 7). Shane Embury’s Dark Sky Burial, who will perform on all dates.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time, with an exclusive artists presale starting tomorrow at 10 a.m. using the password Stonerwitch. You can find the full list of tour dates below.
