Spiritbox Announce New Album Tsunami Sea, To Drop Single “Perfect Soul” Later Today
In what could be one of the first major metal releases of 2025, Canadian progressive heavy metal band Spiritbox dropped a bombshell this morning by announcing their sophomore album, Tsunami Sea. Set for release on March 7, 2025 via Pale Chord in partnership with Rise Records, the announcement is being touted by the band as a sort of “gearing up for [the band’s] next chapter.”
As bands are wont to do with this sort of announcement, Spiritbox dropped a new single to get folks hyped. Apparently the new track, “Perfect Soul” gives listeners a “glimpse into the album’s melodic sound, balancing riffs and groove with ethereal atmospheres to create a listening experience that pulls listeners in like an incoming tide.” Normally, this is where I’d give you my opinion on the track, but I actually haven’t been able to hear it yet because the video doesn’t go live until noon PST/3 p.m. EST.
Thankfully, we’ve already heard one song off the album, as “Soft Spine” is included in its tracklist. That song kicks ass, so if that’s an indicator for the rest of the album, that bodes particularly well.
Tsunami Sea will be available on March 7, but you can pre-save/preorder your copy today.
