New England Hardcore Band Broken Vow is Breaking Up
Self-fulling prophecy much? Surely they didn’t intend for things to happen this way but as we all can see, shit just happens to fuck with your world and there’s seemingly nothing you can do about it. If you’re a hardcore fan—especially that Northeast hella hard shit—you might be big mad to hear that Broken Vow will be breaking up, and so so soon at that.
When it comes to exactly why it’s happening, all they can really say is that life just got in the way. In their statement on the matter, Broken Vow says their November 22 show will be the last in their hometown area until whatever farewell show might come after their European tour next year. If it feels so soon that’s because it is. They barely released their first full-length album Anthropocene last year.
Broken Vow’s social media statement reads as follows:
November 22nd will be the last opportunity to see Broken Vow in the Boston area. Life pulls everyone in different directions and after touring Europe we will be calling it a day for the foreseeable future. We are incredibly thankful to everyone who has supported us and made this band possible. There will be a going away show after we return from Europe announcing soon. Never give up on hardcore meaning something more than image and posturing. We are and always will be a New England Hardcore band.
