Ooo Wee Ooo Weezer’s Opening for Deftones
Here’s hoping that headline got “Buddy Holly” jammed into your brain on a Monday morning, because it’s relevant as hell to the story you’re reading right now. Earlier this morning, the Deftones announced they’ll be playing a show in London next Summer and the pop rock act Weezer, along with High Vis, will be opening. Yes, the band with the dude that sings about always Asian girls in an almost obsessive way while looking like the biggest nerd to hold a guitar. The sweater dudes.
This isn’t part of some major U.K./European tour, either. This looks like it’s just a one-off show that Deftones is headlining at London’s Crystal Palace. The show will take place on June 29 and more openers will be announced at a later date. Maybe Sugar Ray’s not doing anything…
This news comes more than a month after the band’s North American run with The Mars Volta and Fleshwater was announced to start late this coming February. You can find the full list of dates for those shows down below.
