Tribulation Released Sixth Album ‘Sub Rosa in Æternum’
If you love yourself a mixture of heavy metal and goth metal, you’re in luck. I imagine you’ve heard of Tribulation, that Swedish band who’ve been making stuff like this since the mid-2000s (gosh, I wish we could go back to this time in music. Actually, I wish we could go back to this whole time of life in general.), and they’ve just released their sixth album Sub Rosa in Æternum.
Out on Century Media Records, the album’s nine tracks follow Tribulation’s usual formula of heavy riffs mixed with gothic and occultist tendencies. They’ve also dropped “Poison Pages,” the album’s closing track (if you’re not counting the bonus one), accompanied by quite an artsy music video. You can watch that below.
Guitarist Adam Zaars, one of the founding members, had this to say about the discographical occasion:
“It’s finally getting released! This album is really special to us and we’re all very proud of what we managed to create, with invaluable help from both Tom Dalgety and Ola Ersfjord. Artistically, we’ve always been on the move, sometimes in a big way and sometimes to a lesser extent, but we knew we had to do something different with this album. We didn’t know what, but luckily the album gradually revealed itself to us. We hope you’ll enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it!”
