God Forbid Documentary Shows How the Band Got Back Together

In the two years since they officially reunited, God Forbid has played a number of shows here and there, kicking ass along the way and reminding folks just how badass they really are. Hell, they blew the doors off the first day of the Metal Injection Festival last month (which if you missed, you really fucked up).

And with all the extra excitement going on with the band lately, it’s easy to forget that these dudes hadn’t played together for years. All that and more is highlighted in a new documentary titled Gone, But Not Forgotten, which provides a glimpse behind the curtain to see what went into the return of one of NWOAHM’s most badass New Jersey exports.

The nearly 20-minute doc takes us back to 2022, before their return show at Blue Ridge Rock Festival. In it, we see the dudes talking about the band’s ending and what their thoughts were as the band was gearing up for its return. It’s really an interesting watch, especially if you’d been following their reunion since its announcement.
