Tim Lambesis’ Wife Denies Rumors She’s Being Abused Amid As I Lay Dying’s Implosion
The self-destruction of As I Lay Dying continues on as now three band members and the band’s manager have quit over the course of the past week and all the bands that were supposed to be supporting them on their European Tour have announced the tour’s cancelation. While fans continue to wait for any statement from the band’s two remaining members about what happened or what’s next, people have begun to speculate what caused all of this to go down.
When guitarist Ken Susi quit, he said that his “personal morals have recently been tested to the breaking point.” This raises one very important question: What could possibly happen to cause someone who was willing to join a band whose frontman went to prison for solicitation of murder to suddenly have a crisis of conscience? A lot of people online are speculating that all this drama around the band is happening because an allegation of domestic abuse is coming soon against frontman Tim Lambesis, but Lambesis’ current wife, Dany, insists that that isn’t the case.
Dany Lambesis took to Instagram to post a statement about the rumored abuse allegations, saying:
“I am writing this statement to address the recent rumors circulating on social media regarding my husband, Tim Lambesis, and the allegations of domestic violence. It has come to my attention that false claims have been made, suggesting that my husband has harmed me.
“I want to make it unequivocally clear that these allegations are completely false. My husband has never caused harm to me in this manner, and I am deeply saddened by the unfounded rumors that have emerged during this challenging time for his band. There has never been an incident that warrants such accusations. We have had our relationship issues like many other couples, but nothing to the degree of domestic violence or what is being portrayed online.
“It deeply saddens me that I find myself in a position where I must publicly explain my personal life and relationship because of flat out lies. It is completely unjust that everything spread the way it did and nobody even considered my voice to be heard through it all. This is unfair to both Tim and I and our relationship.
“It is disheartening to witness how quickly misinformation can spread and the impact it can have on individuals and families. I ask that you respect our privacy during this time and refrain from perpetuating these harmful rumors any further.”
Dany Lambesis also added a comment to her own post, saying:
“To clarify, if Tim were to physically abuse me, I would take the initiative to expose him myself, rather than relying on an anonymous individual lacking credible evidence.”
Okay, so it’s not an accusation from Dany Lambesis that’s causing everything to fall apart in the AILD camp, so what the hell is going on? Again, these are all people who were willing to get on board with Tim Lambesis after he was recorded soliciting an undercover detective to murder his wife, pled guilty, and went to prison for the crime. If that’s not your line in the sand, then what the hell is? I’m really curious to see what the hell is going on.
