Linkin Park Released a Music Video for Their Single “Over Each Other”

0

Just a few weeks remain until newly revived nu-metal act Linkin Park release From Zero, their first new album since 2017’s One More Light and their first after the death of vocalist Chester Bennington in 2017. In their bid to promote the album further (even though they’re still a massive band in their own right), they’ve dropped a new single, titled “Over Each Other.”

Directed by Linkin Park’s Joe Hahn, who previously directed their videos for “Numb”, “From The Inside”, “What I’ve Done” and “Somewhere I Belong”, the video’s dramatic as hell, which fits the overall tone of the track. It’s the first real showcase of Emily Armstrong’s vocals, since the other tracks also featured Mike Shinoda pretty heavily.

Everything that’s coming up for Linkin Park — the new album and the recently announced festival dates — come as the band’s been facing criticism for weeks now over new singer Emily Armstrong’s connection to Scientology, her one-time support of convicted rapist Danny Masterson, and ongoing complaints from Bennington’s surviving family members about how the reunion roll out was handled.

Regardless of all the controversy and hand-wringing, Mike Shinoda said this new version of Linkin Park isn’t so much a reunion, as it’s “intended to be a new chapter.” Either way, it’s all going down despite all of the questioning and uncertainty from certain camps.

From Zero will be released on November 15, but you can preorder your copy today.
