Metallica to Tour Australia and New Zealand Next November

The road won’t end for legendary metal act Metallica any time soon, because they just announced that they’ll be touring Australia and New Zealand next winter. This time around on the unending ‘M72 World Tour’, the supporting acts will be Evanescence and Suicidal Tendencies.

Announced within the last hour or so, this return to Oceania will be their first in a long time. The last time they played Australia, according to Setlist.fm, was 2013, while the last time they were in New Zealand was in 2010. They were originally supposed to address that long absence back in 2019, but James Hetfield had to go into rehab and that was the end of that.

Tickets for the tour will go up on sale for the general public on Monday, November 4 at 12 p.m. local time. Fan club members will have access to a special pre-sale starting on Tuesday, October 29.
