Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger of Halestorm Announce Acoustic “Living Room Sessions” Tour

Have you ever wished you could hang out with Halestorm bandmates and long-term romantic partners Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger in their living room? Unless you’re a really huge Halestorm fan you probably haven’t because that sounds really awkward if you don’t know them. What if there was a small audience of people in their living room? This scenario is still sounding pretty weird. Maybe it would be a little less uncomfortable if someone took tickets at the door and served alcohol? Okay, now it’s starting to sound a little less weird. Well, you can have exactly that, as the couple announced their acoustic tour, dubbed “The Living Room Sessions,” yesterday.

The acoustic tour will take place in January and will feature Hottinger and Hale playing stripped-down, acoustic versions of Halestorm classics. Said Hale about the tour:

“With this tour, we’re inviting our fans to experience what it would be like hanging with Joe and me in our living room: picking up instruments, telling stories, chatting about songs that helped shaped us as a band and brought us to where we are today.”

Yeah, see, that’s the part that makes me feel uncomfortable. I don’t want to watch some couple I don’t know in their living room.

Hottinger added:

“Back when we decided to quit our day jobs and make music our full-time endeavor, Lzzy and I would play music wherever we could, and sometimes that meant playing acoustic covers in any bar or restaurant that would have us. That time really allowed us to develop our playing skills and dig into songwriting, and it really set the groundwork for what Halestorm is today.”

Tickets go on sale on Friday, but pre-sale for members of their mailing list starts today. To give fans an idea of what to expect, Hale and Hottinger released a video of a living room-style performance of the Halestorm track “The Silence.” Check out the tour dates and video below.
