Obeyer Announce Debut Album Chemical Well, New Single “Witness” Out Now
British metalcore outfit Obeyer recently made its presence known with the release of two singles last month, announcing that they’d signed with Periphery’s 3DOT Recordings. The tracks in question were pretty damn heavy, providing a bit of promise for the outfit’s future. Well, earlier today they took a huge step towards that future with not only the release of a new single “Witness,” but they announcement of their debut album Chemical Well.
Set to release on November 15, the album will naturally be their first drop on 3DOT. Recorded at Lower Lane Studios with producer Sam Bloor, the album boasts 10 new tracks, each of which the band say draws on their influences while attempting to offer something new to the metalcore scene.
“We wanted to ensure the album acknowledged our influences but also pushed our own boundaries both musically and lyrically. Chemical Well explores the impact technology has on our day to day lives, having the world at your fingertips is both a blessing and a curse.”
Previously known as Lay Siege, the band is hoping to make a new beginning with this release and move over to 3DOT. In anticipation for the release of Chemical Well, 3DOT Recordings Co-Founder and Periphery guitarist Misha Mansoor said the label was excited for this to get out into the world next month.
“The early support for Obeyer has been amazing and we want to thank everyone for checking them out. We think fans will only be further impressed as they hear more.”
