Next month, iconic death metal band Pig Destroyer‘s going to mark the 20th anniversary of Terrifyer with not just a special reissue featuring some extra goodies and other shit. Though they will be doing that. No, instead they’ll also be performing a one-off show at the Black Cat in Washington, DC to mark the anniversary.

Set to take place on November 14, the show will also feature a special performance by Mammoth Grinder, who’ll also be celebrating the release of their new EP Undying Spectral Resonance. Other supporting acts for that night of mayhem will be Genocide Pact and Entrail Asphyxiation.

As for that aforementioned reissue of Terrifyer, that will be released on November 15 and will come in 2CD, 2LP, and a 4LP box set. That last item will include expanded packaging and artwork by original album artist Cris Crude, liner notes written by the band, newly remastered audio for both Terrifyer and the Natasha EP, and nearly two dozen previously unreleased demos and bonus tracsk.

Speaking of the reissue, Pig Destroyer vocalist J.R. Hayes said it will be a must-have for fans.

“We crammed just about everything we could find in this box set. How much more Terrifyer could it be? None more Terrifyer.”

Similarly, guitarist Scott Hull said the band was excited to be given the opportunity to dig up relics and other material from the Terrifyer days to add to the reissue box set.

“We’re stoked to be given the chance to dig up all the extra material related to Terrifyer for this release. It captures a time when we reeled in all the ideas we could and threw them in the boat. We hope you enjoy seeing inside the process.”

If you want to get your hands on the Terrifyer reissue, you can preorder your copy today.
