Clutch to Play Entirety of Blast Tyrant During Four Newly Announced Shows
We’re getting closer to the end of the year and if you’ve been following Clutch’s career, you know that means one thing — a tour’s a-brewin’! Earlier today, the dudes from Maryland announced four very special shows to close out the year with a celebration of their 2004 record Blast Tyrant. And naturally that means they’ll be playing that fantastic album in full at each of the four gigs.
For four straight days, they’ll hit venues in Virginia, Maryland, New York, and New Jersey with Many Eyes and The Native Howl in tow. Sure, this means everyone that doesn’t live in the Northeast are going to miss out on this, but to my fellow fans in the area, you have zero excuse to miss this run. Blast Tyrant rules and each of those songs on their own are bangers in a live setting.
I imagine they’re not doing a more extensive tour this year because they’ve been working on a new record for some time. Who knows? Maybe they’ll debut a new song or two at these shows, since they love to test out new tunes live.
So yeah, don’t miss this shit. Along with Robot Hive/Exodus, Blast Tyrant really is one of their best works in their storied career. You can find the dates below.
