You Can Win a Framed Danzig Photo from Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe By Helping Hurricane Relief Efforts

Over the last couple of weeks, millions of people in the southeastern part of the United States have been devastated by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The amount of damage caused by both storms, as well as the number of lives affected, will take some time to calculate, but what’s immediately apparent is that people need assistance. So many people — mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, friends, loved ones, community members — need our help to get back on their feet.

To that end, Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe announced earlier today that he and his bandmates were partnering with Propeller to help raise money for relief efforts over several southeastern states.

To do this, they’re asking that anyone interested in helping donate whatever they’re comfortable contributing through Blythe’s Propeller page. Though Blythe said he’s hoping people can contribute at least $5, it should be noted that each dollar donated gets you 10 entries into a contest to win a framed 16″ x 24″ color photo print that Blythe took of MetalSucks’ most favorite frontman of all time, Glenn Danzig. The shot was taken back in 2014 after Samhain’s set at Riot Fest and shows the vocalist covered in blood. Honestly, it’s a pretty badass shot.

Rather than explain the nature of the photo, here’s what Blythe had to say about it himself:

“When one of my favorite bands of all time, Samhain, announced that they would be doing some reunion shows in 2014, l immediately made plans to attend as many as possible. I wound up riding the tour bus with them and documenting several of the gigs, but this shot is from the first night l ever got to see them play, at Riotfest in Chicago.

“Samhain played the entire Initium EP and more that evening— I was beyond excited to actually witness the songs live in all their buckets-of-blood-covered glory. I only made a single print of this photo to be included in my latest exhibition on the Headbangers Boat.

“Originally I had planned on gifting it to my friend and Samhain’s legendary frontman, Glenn Danzig, after the exhibition, but after discussing it with him, together we decided to use it to raise money for people affected by the recent devastation from Hurricane Helene. Thank you for the support!”

According to Blythe, he normally charges around $1,200 for one of his photo prints at that size, so winning such a cool item for a quick donation to a worthy cause is a hell of an opportunity. If you would like to try your hand at winning a cool piece of metal art while helping people in need, visit the donation page and kick in some cash today.
