Blood Incantation, Pan-Amerikan Native Front, Majesties and More Announced for Fire in the Mountains

Earlier this week, we reported on the fact that Norwegian ambient folk act Wardruna would be headlining next year’s Fire in the Mountains. With today being the first day tickets are available to the general public, organizers revealed some more killer acts slated to perform at the event. And let’s just say… it’s going to be one hell of a festival.

According to organizers, cosmic death metal band Blood Incantation, Finnish psychedelic folk/atmospheric doom metal outfit HEXVESSEL, dark folk legend Steve Von Till, Chicago indigenous black metal outfit Pan-Amerikan Native Front, and death metal band Majesties (which will be making its live debut at the festival) are all part of the ticket.

Taking place from July 25 to 27 next year, the festival is centered around community, music, and the natural world. This time around, the festival will be situated in an entirely new location: the Red Eagle Campground in northwestern Montana just outside of Browning, which is part of the Blackfeet Nation’s tribal land.

It’s important to note that since the Blackfeet Nation are involved in the event, it’s a completely dry event. Meaning no drunken revelry or drug-fueled debauchery. Just a long weekend out in the wilderness, enjoying nature, and banging your head to some of the more exciting and brutal acts out there.

Looking at the list of bands already signed on to play at Fire in the Mountains so far, Festival Director Jeremy Walker said this year’s event should be a special one.

“We are proud to create a truly special experience at Fire in the Mountains alongside Wardruna. We started FITM nine years ago with the dream of bringing Wardruna to play at the festival in front of the Rocky Mountains. Our dream will finally be realized next year in 2025, ten years later, but now with a much deeper purpose and a much greater impact than we ever could have imagined.”

More acts will be announced at a later date, but if today’s announcements are enough for you — or you just want to book a metal weekend in the woods, you can get your tickets right now.
