Randy Blythe Hopes His Second Book Just Beyond The Light Will Be a Beacon of Positivity

Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe has a new book coming out and he’s hoping it will be a force for positivity. Not just for us metalheads, mind you, but for the world as a whole.

Titled Just Beyond The Light: Making Peace with the Wars Inside Our Head, this is Blythe’s second foray as a published author. You may recall his first book, Dark Days that detailed his experience awaiting trial in Prague following an accidental death at a show back in 2010. While that was a hard experience for the vocalist, Blythe said this new book aims to be a “”tight, concise roadmap of how I have attempted to maintain what I believe to be a proper perspective in life, even during difficult times.”

“For me, the single most gratifying aspect of being an artist is learning that your work has been useful to others in some way. I’ve been told by lots of readers that my last book, ‘Dark Days,’ helped them – I hope ‘Just Beyond the Light’ does the same.”

From his childhood days to his current globe-trotting rockstar lifestyle, Blythe uses this book to share what he’s learned along the way. Ben Schafer, executive editor at Grand Central Publishing, said the book offers something even for non-metal fans who don’t know who Blythe is at all.

Just Beyond The Light: Making Peace with the Wars Inside Our Head will be released on February 18, 2025.
