Torture Implode Right Before Tour with Undeath
There are some scenarios that I imagine keep bands awake at night. Overbearing venue cuts. Empty venues. Getting canceled by yours truly. Yet one instance cropped up at the 11th hour and forced a death metal band off an anticipated tour, as death metal act Torture basically imploded before their run with Undeath.
And just so we’re clear, what I mean by “imploded” is the fact that every touring member of the band quit. As the brainchild of a singular person known as K.K., Torture generally relies on touring band members to fulfill live commitments. Without those people in the band, it would be just one dude and not enough appendages to play everything all at once.
News of the multiple departures from the band was posted to Torture’s Instagram stories (photo below courtesy of Loudwire), with K.K. revealing that he’s looking to get new band mates to make up for the loss of those that left. Details as to why those people left in the first place haven’t been made public just yet, but it doesn’t sound like things went sideways and everyone hates each other now.
“My touring members had to step away from the band, due to many different factors. I wish them all the absolute best, I love them so much, and sincerely hope their decision results in the bettering of their lives and well-being.
“That being said, I’m currently looking for new members. This is not the end, I will continue no matter what. It’s extremely disappointing to have to cancel this month’s dates, but we will hopefully be back next month… We will be back!”
As just one of multiple supporting acts for Undeath, that tour isn’t at risk of falling apart. As it stands, Undeath will play tonight’s show in Dallas, Texas with Tribal Gaze acting as the main supporting act until they drop off on October 13. Following that, Kruelty and Gates to Hell will join for the rest of the tour dates.
