Rivers of Nihil to Release a Remixed and Remastered Version of their Debut EP Hierarchy
Progressive death metal motherfuckers Rivers of Nihil made a pretty exciting announcement for their more long-term, diehard fans to get stoked about today, as they revealed that they’ll be reissuing their debut EP Hierarchy next month.
Due out on November 8, this new version of Hierarchy is being done 14 years after its original, independent release. Comprised of four songs, the EP was remixed and remastered by its original producer Carson Slovak over at Atrium Audio, so the spirit of the thing will be in tact.
This EP had been reissued four years ago for its 10th anniversary, but this is the first iteration of the EP that’s been completely remastered and remixed.
According to the band, this new version of the EP will be available to everyone either digitally or pressed to vinyl. It’s important to note that if you’re a collector, you might want the vinyl since Side B will feature a decorative etching of the cover art, which looks sick as hell. We have a photo of said etching below.
If any of that excites you or you want to learn more, you can head to the preorder page to learn more and ensure you get your copy when Hierarchy goes on sale on November 8.
