Down, The Dillinger Escape Plan, 3 Inches of Blood Among Bands Named for Milwaukee Metal Fest 2025
Ever since its reincarnation just a couple years ago, the Milwaukee Metal Festival has been able to put together some absolutely mental band lineups. Last year’s was damn good, but earlier today festival owner/co-organizer and Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta revealed the first batch of bands for next year’s fest and all I can muster is daaaaaaaammmmmmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
The Milwaukee Metal Fest will once again take place at The Rave/Eagles Ballroom from May 16 to 18. The prior day, there will be a pre-party to get shit poppin’ early.
As for the lineup announcement, the top of the bill has to be Down, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and motherfuckin’ Exodus. But let’s not forget that the fest will also feature 3 Inches of Blood and other exciting modern acts like Full Of Hell and Wolves in the Throne Room.
Jasta said the whole approach for next year’s event was to make it “even bigger and better” than ever.
“Milwaukee Metal Fest is back for year #3 and we’re looking forward to an even bigger & better event in 2025! DOWN rarely play the Midwest, so their set is going to be something special. Exodus are celebrating their 40th anniversary and were our #1 most requested band for the festival, we can’t live without Bay Area Thrash. The Dillinger Escape Plan haven’t played Milwaukee in almost 15 years, let alone doing ‘Calculating Infinity’, plus 3 Inches Of Blood are back but only doing select appearances, so the fact they chose to come play MMF is incredible and we can’t wait to have our buddies from the great white north. Throw in new hxc metal phenomenons like Speed & Fugitive, who represent the best of the new breed of heavy bands, plus MMF alumni like Trouble, Exhorder & Deceased, and we’re guaranteed to have a rager!”
