Candy Announce New Flipping EP

0

I’m such a big fan of the album It’s Inside You by Candy, which came out earlier this year, that every time I start talking about it, someone inevitably comments accusing me of being paid to say nice things about it. I assure you, that’s not the case. It’s just such a good album that I’m willing to hype it for free. We spend enough time on this site telling you who in metal and hardcore sucks, that it’s nice, from time to time, to talk about an artist that doesn’t suck, and Candy don’t suck in the least.

Now, all that being said, I’m not saying I’m necessarily against anyone paying me to say good things about their product. Also, completely unrelated, but I really enjoy the crisp, clean taste of an ice-cold Coca-Cola. Always Coca-Cola!

But even though Candy are only a few months removed from the release of It’s Inside You, they’ve already announced their next release, a new EP called Flipping which is dropping October 16 on Triple B Records. As the band announced the EP yesterday, they also unveiled their latest single, “Football,” an unrelenting onslaught of noise that is loosely organized into something resembling a song. It’s an absolute banger of a single and promises the new EP is going to be absolute fire.

We reported last month that the band was working on something new with Kurt Ballou of Converge fame, and this appears to be that something as Flipping was recorded and produced by Ballou. The band also unveiled the cover art for Flipping, which depicts a woman in an American flag bathing suit taking a selfie in front of a party that would make Diddy blush raging out of control behind her.
