Slayer Unveil Raining Blood Hot Sauce
Did you ever wish that Slayer could do to your tastebuds exactly what their music does to your eardrums? Well, probably only if you have some sort of a death wish or, like me, prefer your food to be more fiery than Slayer’s pyrotechnics show. But now, you can put Slayer’s sauce on your food with Coney Island Saucery’s new, officially licensed Slayer Raining Blood hot sauce.
Here’s what Slayer had to say about the new hot sauce on Instagram:
“Unleash the heat with Slayer X Coney Island Saucery! We’ve created the ultimate hot sauce: ‘Raining Blood’ —a tribute to Slayer’s iconic anthem. With a heat level of ‘Complete Brutality,’ this sauce is only for the BRAVE. Perfect for spicing up pizza, wings, tacos and more. Get your First Batch Limited Release before it’s gone!”
Based on the ingredients listed on the Coney Island Saucery website, it sounds like it could pack quite a punch with a combination of red serrano and red ghost peppers, as well as pineapple and…peaches? I’m really curious as to how peaches taste in a hot sauce.
Now, admittedly, this is the latest in a long line of officially licensed products from Slayer that have gotten a touch too silly, such as the $175 Slayer Igloo cooler that was unveiled in June. But, on the bright side, hot sauce is a lot more fun than a cooler with built in speakers. And, at $12 a bottle, it’s not quite as overpriced as the cooler is. I’m tempted to buy a bottle solely to see if it’s as spicy as they claim it is. I have a very high tolerance for spice.
If you want to try a bottle yourself, you can order it here.
