Whitechapel Announce Brandon Zackey is Now an Official Member of the Band
Days after releasing the gloriously new (yet old-school sounding) track “A Visceral Retch”, Whitechapel did a little bit of housekeeping over on their social media pages by announcing that they’ve officially made Brandon Zackey their full-time drummer.
For the last two years, Zackey has been filling in a vacancy left by Ben Harcierode when he left the band back in 2017. Prior to joining Whitechapel, Zackey played drums for Enterprise Earth from 2019 to earlier this year.
“If you have seen us live the past 2 years you’ll know we have had the pleasure of having Brandon Zackey behind the kit. We are pleased to announce his official welcome into the band. He has proven live and in the studio he is a force to be reckon with behind the kit and we are grateful to have him.”
Having seen Whitechapel in that time frame, I can 100% concur that Zackey fucking punishes those drums during each live performance. Couple that with how ungodly heavy that new track is, and it’s exciting to see what’s next for Whitechapel moving forward.
