Linkin Park Was in New York City and We’ve Got Footage of Their Comeback Show
Say what you will about the backlash that Linkin Park have faced since announcing Dead Sara’s Emily Armstrong as their new vocalist, but you can’t deny the energy surrounding the band’s return is huge. Nostalgia’s a helluva drug — been saying that for a while now — and millennials’ nostalgic feelings for Linkin Park are nuclear weapons grade at this point.
To that end, we were on hand at last night’s Linkin Park show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. It was just one of a handful of stops on their ‘From Zero World Tour’ and from the looks of it, the thousands of people that packed into the stadium had been waiting to sing along to Linkin Park’s discography for a long time.
As such, we’ve got some footage of the band performing massive hit track “Somewhere I Belong.” That, along with some other fan footage, can be found below. According to Setlist.fm, the run of songs from last night’s show was as follows:
- Somewhere I Belong
- Crawling
- Lying From You
- Points of Authority
- New Divide (with “Moscow Intro”)
- The Emptiness Machine
- The Catalyst
- Burn It Down
- Waiting for the End
- Castle of Glass
- Joe Hahn Solo
- When They Come for Me / Remember the Name (Mike solo)
- A Place for My Head (tour debut; first time live since 2017)
- Given Up
- One Step Closer (extended intro)
- Lost (shortened; Mike and Emily duet piano version)
- Breaking the Habit
- What I’ve Done
- Leave Out All the Rest (2017 extended intro)
- My December (acoustic)
- Friendly Fire
- Numb (with “Numb/Encore” intro)
- In the End
- Faint (extended outro)
- Papercut
- Keys to the Kingdom
- Bleed It Out (extended bridge with Fort Minor’s “There They Go” verse 1)
This new version of Linkin Park not only has a new vocalist, but it’s also relying on a new drummer named Colin Brittain to replace Rob Bourdon. The rest of the classic members, Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, Joe Hahn, are all still in the band, though Delson isn’t touring with the group. Instead, Alex Feder is filling that spot.
In addition to their world tour, Linkin Park have a new album titled From Zero coming out on November 15, but you can preorder your copy today.
