Brujeria Cancel Remaining Tour Dates Citing a “Severe Medical Emergency”
Mexican death grinders Brujeria have hit a lot of bad luck with their “Mexorcista Tour 2024.” First of all, one of the supporting acts was supposed to be Cancer Christ, but they dropped off for, um, reasons. Then there was the tragic death of Brujeria vocalist Pinche Peach, and even after that they promised to fulfill their touring obligations at a point where nobody would have blamed them for cancelling. Well, it seems that this cursed tour finally had to be put out of its misery, as Brujeria announced the cancellation of the tour yesterday.
In a post made on Instagram in both Spanish and English, here’s what Brujeria had to say about the cancellation:
“We regret to announce that due to a severe medical emergency, Brujeria are forced to cancel all upcoming tour dates until further notice. We apologize to all of our fans and will update you on the situation soon. Thank you.”
We wish the band all the best at a time when they clearly need some healing. It seems that the band was hoping to push through no matter what, but sometimes that’s simply not possible. I don’t think anyone blames them for canceling the tour at this point.
