August Burns Red Drop New Single “Exhumed”
Hope you’re looking for some positive angry music, because the five dudes in metalcore band August Burns Red are back with a new single titled “Exhumed”. Set for release on a limited edition 7″ vinyl (and digitally, of course), the track is a self-released effort.
Described as “another slab of angry music for happy people,” the track is high energy throughout. And then it hits about the three minute mark and well, you’ve got a mosh-worthy breakdown. Since they dropped a lyric video alongside the actual single, you can decipher the song’s meaning for yourself. But if you’re too lazy or just can’t be bothered to think too hard, the band explained exactly what “Exhumed” is all about.
“‘Exhumed’ is about not dwelling on the negatives, being able to recover, get past them, and move on with your life. It’s a high-energy track that’s influenced by the hardcore roots we came up on.”
You can find the song wherever you get your music online. If you want the 7″ vinyl release, you’re going to have to head over to the band’s dedicated webstore.
In addition to the single release, August Burns Red announced that they’ll be once again hosting their annual Christmas Burns Red holiday show on December 13 and 14 at Freedom Hall at the Lancaster Country Convention Center in downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Coming along for the holiday festivities will be a who’s who of bands, including The Devil Wears Prada, The Ghost Inside, Gideon, Boundaries, Bodysnatcher, and more.
